Outer Banks-based artist, Taylor Williams has been creating seascape oil paintings since 2017 when she taught herself the skill. Having grown up on the Outer Banks, she was a constant witness to the sea’s various moods and the changing shades of the sky. Naturally, she was drawn to painting the landscape around her. In 2019, she had her first solo show at the Dare County Arts Council in Manteo, North Carolina. She continued reaching her goals in 2020 when she joined twenty other artists in displaying at Robert Lange Studios’ “2020 TWENTY” show in Charleston, South Carolina. She currently works from her home studio in Kill Devil Hills, NC.
"I live on a 200-mile-long string of barrier islands off the coast of North Carolina,” says Taylor, “and to say it inspires my work is an understatement. I can always find something to paint living here.”
