Taylor Williams is an oil painter based in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, where the shifting skies and restless ocean often find their way into her work. She’s drawn to the quiet moments in nature as much as the dramatic ones, from the soft glow before sunset to the sudden movement of a wave. Her work captures the mood of each scene she paints. 

“Painting has been a natural outlet for me. I’m drawn to the ever-changing beauty of the Outer Banks and all the little moments that catch my attention while I’m outside exploring. Sometimes it’s the way the light shifts across the water or how quickly the colors in the sky change in just a few minutes. I notice the subtle differences in color and light that give a scene its mood. Through oil painting, I try to hold onto those fleeting moments and share the feeling of standing there and watching the landscape change.”
