“Painting is a natural outlet for me. I’m drawn to the changing beauty of the Outer Banks and all the little moments that catch my attention while I’m outside exploring. Sometimes it’s the way the light shifts across the water or how quickly the colors in the sky change in just a few minutes. I notice the subtle differences in color and light that give a scene its mood. Through oil painting, I try to hold onto those fleeting moments and share the feeling of standing there and watching the landscape change.”
